Asset manager WisdomTree reported $2.24 billion in crypto assets under management at the end of 2025, highlighting the growing role digital assets and tokenization play in the firm’s broader business. Total assets under management reached a record $144.5 billion, representing a 5.3% increase from the previous quarter, supported by market appreciation and the acquisition of Ceres Partners. While U.S. equities, commodities, and fixed income exchange-traded funds continue to dominate the firm’s portfolio, crypto has emerged as a meaningful and expanding segment, according to the company’s fourth-quarter financial report.

Crypto AUM declined from nearly $3.2 billion at the start of the quarter but remained well above levels recorded a year earlier, when the firm reported about $1.9 billion in digital asset exposure. Chief executive Jonathan Steinberg said initiatives that were once considered experimental are now contributing to business momentum, even as they remain early in their growth cycle. He pointed to tokenized assets, models, and private market products as examples of areas transitioning from concept to revenue-generating activity. The shift reflects broader institutional interest in blockchain-based finance following a surge in crypto-related investment products launched over the past year.

WisdomTree has taken a measured approach to crypto exchange-traded products, limiting exposure to experimental altcoins while expanding its presence in blockchain-based issuance. The firm has launched tokenized investment funds across multiple networks, including Ethereum-compatible chains such as Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, and Optimism, as well as non-EVM networks like Stellar and Solana. Offerings span money market funds, equity strategies, fixed income products, and alternative investments, including a tokenized version of its flagship U.S. government debt fund. Earlier this week, WisdomTree said it would reissue its full suite of onchain funds on Solana.

Across its blockchain deployments, WisdomTree manages roughly $780 million in tokenized assets, according to industry data. The firm does not separately disclose tokenized funds within its exchange-traded product reporting, but it said average assets across its 86 ETPs rose to $88 billion in the fourth quarter. Crypto- and metals-related advisory, licensing fees, and operating expenses increased to $73.5 million in 2025, up from $53.5 million the previous year, underscoring rising investment in digital asset infrastructure as tokenization continues to gain traction.
